Title: CAD Engineer
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 12 Months+
Rate: $35/hr on 1099
Here are the key responsibilities that they have listed to the designer role:
Create CAF & revise detail drawings in compliance with CAF procedure
Release designs to appropriate status as required by schedule
Apply principles of mold design to device component designs (parting line, shutoffs, gates)
Apply knowledge of precision metallic design to device component designs (progressive die, laser, wire EDM, stamping)
Utilize DFMA (design for manufacturing & assembly) principles in product design
Assist in developing products from conceptual design through production
Design & develop mechanisms (cams, linkages, gear trains)
Establish, check & document tolerance stack-ups
Apply GD&T to component drawings & design
Present component status updates to team
Contribute to concept identification, selection & development
Create final device assemblies & packaging assemblies
Perform lead designer role on project
Apply material selection to design
Create innovative solutions satisfying unmet needs derived from surgeon interviews, surgical procedure visits, disease state knowledge, and/or ethnographic research
Incorporate and refine human factors into device designs derived from surgeon interaction
Give input to and execute project deliverables at each stage of the product development process
Utilize techniques and methods for getting to solutions quickly (design and/or root cause)
Utilize External resources
Apply device function and component processing knowledge in the identification of critical (Delta E and Delta P) dimensions
Develop and execute engineering studies and protocols with guidance
